Mike Doner
Mike Doner
Mike Doner, is the president and CEO of Flagger Force. As part of his everyday responsibilities, Mike oversees strategic operations, internally and externally, and expanding the company into new markets.
Since co-founding the company in 2002, he has focused on creating an environment where employees have the knowledge, tools, and passion to provide safe, quality work zones and keep our communities moving throughout the eastern United States. He is committed to helping employees at every level of the organization realize their professional and personal potential.
Mike was recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 Greater Philadelphia for his leadership and strategic company growth. Additionally, under his leadership, the Central Penn Business Journal has recognized the company as Business of the Year (2016) and a 50 Fastest Company for over a decade. Flagger Force has consistently earned national recognition from Engineering News-Record’s Top 600 Specialty Contractors list and the INC 5000, highlighting the company’s continual development and excellence in the short-term traffic control industry.
He graduated from Reading Area Community College and Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in communications. When Mike is not in the office or conducting job site visits throughout the company’s footprint, he enjoys boating on the open water from the Chesapeake Bay to Florida and the Bahamas.
Karen Parody
Karen Parody
Karen Parody is vice president of human resources at Flagger Force. She strategically leads the organization’s human resources capabilities with nearly 2,000 dispersed frontline employees and values high performance and professionalism.
She joined Flagger Force in 2022, bringing over 20 years of experience driving organizational growth, workforce recruitment and retention, and legal compliance programs. Karen received her Bachelor of Science in human services with a minor in social work from Elmira College in New York and a master’s degree in human resources management and development from Chapman University in California.
As a wife and mother of four children, Karen is a proud supporter of their college sports. When not watching sporting events, she spends her time volunteering at Special Olympic events and helping with local charities. Karen believes that it is better to give than to receive.
Sean M. Lightner
Sean M. Lightner
Sean M. Lightner is the vice president of business development. As a member of the executive leadership team, Sean is responsible for the development and execution of new market entry, joint ventures with strategic partners and managing the company’s marketing and brand initiatives.
Sean joined Flagger Force in December of 2013, bringing more than 20 years of sales experience from TransUnion as well as other players in the financial services industry. He received his Bachelor of Art degree in psychology from Syracuse University and completed an Executive Leadership Program from the Harvard Business School Executive Education.
As a husband and father of three children, Sean is passionate about his family and helping people achieve their goals both professionally and personally. For the past several years, he has served on the board of directors for the Northern York County School District Polar Bear Foundation and also serves on the board for the Northern York Lacrosse Club.
Mark A. Bender, CPA
Mark A. Bender, CPA
Mark A. Bender is the vice president and CFO. He joined Flagger Force in June of 2014, after working for various accounting firms and serving 10 years in the United States Air Force. He still enjoys flying today and recently obtained his private pilot license. Mark is a youth soccer coach and an avid fan of his three sons who play at both the college and academy level.
Kathleen Fabrizi, MSLBE, MMOAS, CLSSMBB, PMP, CCMP, CHEP
Kathleen Fabrizi, MSLBE, MMOAS, CLSSMBB, PMP, CCMP, CHEP
Kathleen (Kathy) Fabrizi MSLBE, MMOAS, CLSSMBB, PMP, CCMP, CHEP, is vice president of operations at Flagger Force. With over 20 years of leadership experience through her time with the Air Force and Air National Guard, she leads the organization’s operations services center in Hummelstown, PA, which includes client services, field operations, and resource allocation.
Kathy has worked as a consultant for several years focusing on process improvement and project and change management. She received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Gwynedd-Mercy University and a master’s degree in leadership and business ethics from Duquesne University, both in Pennsylvania. Kathy is a highly recognized and decorated leader, a lean six sigma master black belt, and an adjunct professor at Penn State University.
Luke Lazar, CSP
Luke Lazar, CSP
Luke Lazar, CSP, is the vice president of risk and safety at Flagger Force. With close to 30 years of safety consulting experience throughout various industries and companies, he is a certified safety professional (CSP) with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
In his current role, he strategizes the policies and practices of the company to ensure all employees and clients are safe on the job site or at the office. He oversees a team of safety professionals throughout the eastern United States with a range of skills and experiences, coaching and mentoring individuals to prevent incidents. Lazar also manages the training programs within the Flagger Force Academy for new and current field employees. While continuously advancing the safety culture of Flagger Force, his future vision for the risk department is focused on three things: being present, being proactive, and being predictive.
Lazar received his bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and is an active member of American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
